.Deputy Managing Director Flex Gen MexicoENGIE Mexico, Energy at the service of the countryWe are committed to providing energy and better living conditions to the Mexicans that we proudly serve.We act to accelerate the energy transition towards a carbon-neutral economy, by reducing energy consumption and developing more environmentally friendly solutions.Purpose of the PositionThe purpose of the position is to second the MD FlexGen Mexico (currently based in Lima due to a current specific set-up with the MD Flex Gen Mexico covering the role of MD Flex Gen Perú).Key Responsibilities:Co-manage all aspects of the FlexGen businesses in Mexico, including development and implementation of new projects, operations and maintenance of existing assets, risk management, H&S culture and performance, and commercial aspects of the businesses.Be co-responsible for the full P&L and meet operational, financial, environmental, and H&S objectives, within the legal and compliance framework. Be accountable for all internal and external audits including INCOME.Propose adjustments to the organization as per business needs and foster development of talent and key people in the teams. Co-manage and provide direction to the management team of the GBU.Actively contribute to the One Engie country animation by the ENGIE Mexico management team, representing the MD Flex Gen Mexico in the Engie Mexico Excom team.Be responsible end to end for specific multidisciplinary projects with a strong commercial or strategic dimension, such as defining & implementing the commercial strategy for re-contracting energy & capacity of the power plants once PPAs expire and gas supply.Develop a vision and a concrete roadmap for the FlexGen business in Mexico for existing assets and new business development (in particular BESS).Work with RGBU and GEMS to develop a position paper on the desired market design in Mexico.Occupational Profile:REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:University degree: Civil, electrical, mechanical or related engineering. MBA desirable. Specialization in Energy / Power Generation a plus.TECHNICAL SKILLS:Significant Business Development experience in the power generation market, including commercial and contractual knowledge of long-term offtake contracts.Understanding of energy markets, regulations & economics of power generation & transmission.Strong Project Management skills and experience.Sufficient operational knowledge of combined cycle or cogeneration power plants, including H&S aspects.Basic financial knowledge of operations and financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet)/ budget management and control.Knowledge of the Mexican electricity market and stakeholders is a plus.Knowledge/ experience of utility scale batteries is a plus.Languages: English, fluent verbal and written.Years of Experience: Minimum 15 years in the energy sector.At ENGIE, we pursue your feeling free to be what you are
