Individualmente somos talentosos, pero juntos somos imparables.**Job Summary**:A successful Design Applications Specialist understands the lighting controls requirements of a project by reviewing construction documents and specifications. The AE effectively communicates with our sales agents/customers in order to design a lighting controls system (composed of Acuity Brands controls products) that meet the projects lighting controls requirements. The AE will use Visual Controls software to generate the requested deliverable from the agent through the RFA process. Requested deliverables range from lighting controls bill of material, layout and/or submittal.**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:- Design lighting controls systems based on construction documents, specifications and/or sales agent/customer directive.- Utilize Bluebeam software to review and mark up construction documents, i.E. fixture schedules, details, single line diagrams etc..- Possess and maintain a solid understanding of Acuity controls products portfolio as well as competitor products.- Manages own workload to ensure projects are completed on schedule.- Assists sales agents/customers in value engineering projects to boost sales.- Collaborate and assist on special projects with internal Acuity teams outside of DAS (Atrius team, etc.)- Actively contributes to a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.**Education (minimum education required)**:- Bachelor of Business Administration**Experience (minimum experience required)**:- Understanding of AutoCAD 2D drafting preferred- Lighting Controls familiarity- Problem Solving skills- Comprehensive understanding of Engineering documents- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work remotely**Physical Requirements**:- Sedentary Work**Travel Requirements**:- 1-20%**Iluminamos el camino a un mundo Brillante, Productivo y Conectado
