Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity in the Civil Engineering group in our Monterrey office for a Civil Engineering Design Engineer!
Design Engineers are responsible for assisting the Project Engineer or Project Manager in the management of multiple site development projects including contract document preparation, AutoCAD support, design calculations, code searches and construction services.
This is a great opportunity for entry level or junior candidates to gain experience with an international design firm.
Responsibilities: Help design each phase of the project (typical; Preliminary Grading, Preliminary Utility Layout, Final Grading, Final Utility Plan and Profiles, Construction Documents and Construction Phase services) to deliver a set of contract documents that will be used for permits and construction.
Provide AutoCAD support for the preparation of projects documents.
Help provide design calculations for drainage, utility, Stormwater management, reports, and analysis.
Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer with construction services (site visits, review shop drawings, etc.).
Perform project code searches and analysis for each project.
Provide assistance for submittals for jurisdiction agencies.
Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and team members.
Qualifications: New graduate or up to 3 years of experience within the Civil Engineering field A minimum of one year of experience in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred Land/site development experience strongly preferred Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required Strong computer and written and verbal communication skills are essential Strong AutoCAD and Civil3D skills preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Established in 1972, Ware Malcomb is a contemporary and expanding full service design firm providing professional architecture, planning, interior design, civil engineering, branding and building measurement services to corporate, commercial/residential developer and public/institutional clients throughout the world.
