Requisition ID: 40526- Job Location(s): Apodaca, MXDanfoss is looking for a Design Engineer in Apodaca for the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC) Engineering department.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Prepare designs, specifications, analysis, and recommendations for development of new product variants.
- Collaborate with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
- Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
- Maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, sketches, drawings, material specifications.
- Keep well informed on new developments in the research and design engineering.
- Working with colleagues and cooperation partners across functions and locations (globally) is key in achieving success in the job.
- As a person, you are self-motivated, proactive, creative, highly organized with strong attention to detail and a good team player who can interact with others, across borders and cultures. And you have a "get it done" attitude.
- You will work with 12 local colleagues and report directly to the Engineering manager.
**Background & Skills**:
- Passion for technical problem solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or advanced course work in areas relevant to product development is required.
- 3+ years of experience working with product design and development and/or engineering research.
- Proficiency in Inventor or another 3D-CAD system.
- Knowledge in fluid dynamics is desired.
- Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline committed environment.
- Global mindset and outstanding communication skills.
- Good time management and project management skills to organize and plan effectively in developing systems and processes.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Needs to have a strong grasp and understanding of a team environment.
