Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Design Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Automation Manager, the Design Engineer role involves being responsible for Designs and develops components, products, equipment, and systems.
What a typical day looks like:
- Advises management regarding licensing agreements and software tool upgrades considering both cost effectiveness and technological roadmap.
- Participates in conceptual and architectural definition of new designs.
- Oversees and mentors younger designers.
- Significant customer interaction and recognition.
- Advise customers on tool compatibility insofar as customer input requirements and Flex deliverables.
- Able to develop models for simulation of complex systems.
( Ansys)
- Defines/ determines and approves functional methods, standards, policies, and procedures.
Makes decisions for sections/sub-functions.
- Participating actively with the business development team.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS/MBA work experience.
- Advanced degree(s) in Engineering preferred, like master's degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of ten years' experience in position of Engineering
- Experience in the manufacturing process for electronics devices and mechanical assemblies (e.g., dispensing, screw-fastening, welding, soldering, general knowledge in testing, etc.).
- Experience in CAD design tools (SolidWorks) for parts, assemblies, drawing interpretation, GD&T.
- Effective communication skills through presentation and proper project documentation.
- Schedule management skills with multiple projects.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts across disciplines.
- knowledge in mechanical DFA, DFM and TSA disciplines preferable.
- Possess a growth mindset, adapting to challenges and interested in continuous improvement.
- Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time.
- Availability to settle in the city of Guadalajara
