In all these ways and many more, Caterpillar engineers conceptualize ideas that become real-world products in our factories—and make progress possible around the globe.**Job Purpose**:To gain basic experience in the design, development, and maintenance of new tooling's like tack and weld fixtures, locating and validation templates, transport cars and lifting devices.**Job Duties**:Work is directed by a Supervising Engineer, Staff Engineer or Project Engineer and is normally supported daily by technical personnel, test and evaluation engineers, plant personnel and suppliers.Applies oral and written skills to communicate technical information regarding design concepts and development.Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc.**Background/Experience**:Bachelor's degree in mechanical and electrical or similar engineering degree.Minimum 2 years of experience in tooling design or mechanical designExperience with design programs: CAD, CREO, SolidworksEnglish desiredMust have strong problem solving and good communications skills.**The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
