Welcome to Bosch!**Job Description**:Product Design Engineer responsible for the mechanical design and release of steering products. Development customer / program specific steering products following design guidelines of Bosch AS where applicable and creating new designs as needed to meet customer requirements. Support design reviews and releases as needed.**Qualifications**:At least 1 year of experience in:- Mechanical design involving concept generation, CAD modeling and drawing creation- Develop technical designs with CAD (2D & 3D)- Support Continuous improvements and cost reduction activities- Create BOM (Bill of materials)- Solidworks or CATIANice to have:- Administrate engineering changes using tools such as DFMEA, DRBFM- CREO Parametrics- Packaging design- Problem Solving- Create technical standards/ specifications- Coordination with OEM's and other engineering divisionsAdditional Information- Design steering systems that meet customer requirements and specifications following Bosch product development processes.- Develop/maintain/release math data using software CREO, PDMLink and Axalant.- Develop/maintain/release drawings/specifications using BOSCH tools (Axalant) and processes.- Develop/maintain/release bills of material using BOSCH tools (Axalant) and processes.- Develop/maintain/release stack up for assemblies.- Supports problems solving / continuous improvement activities.- Hold design review meetings with suppliers to clarify all technical aspects of purchased components and assemblies.- Work with Project Team to establish and maintain relationships at the OEM- Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts- Communicate with BOSCH core engineering on product direction, design standards & customer requirements.- Supports design proposals for new business opportunities outlining BOSCH design solutions to customer requirements- Usage of engineering methods such as GD&T, DFMEA, DRBFM, DVP&R, DFSS, Problem Solving, VAVE activities
