We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Drivetrain Component Division as a Liaison Engineer in Monterrey, Mexico.As a Liaison Engineer you will be partnering with Drivetrain design and controls teams to identify solutions to manufacturing issues, prove out new designs, and test prototype components and systems. This position is responsible for supporting Drivetrain Gears.**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:- Analysis of metallurgical and machining data to provide recommendations for problem resolution- Collaborate with the local quality, manufacturing engineering and metallurgic teams on gear quality improvement projects- Document and communicate manufacturing results and data to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units- Contribute to the design, development, and validation of new Drivetrain Gears- Support New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) teams- Contribute to matters regarding Concurrent Product and Process Development (CPPD), supplier collaboration and development and Rapid Root Cause and Corrective Actions- Contribute to the advancement of Gear technologies and manufacturing practices**Basic Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, Applied Mechanics, or Metallurgical Engineering- Must have a prior Engineering or gear manufacturing experience- Willingness to travel up to 10%- English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)- Experience and interest in collaborating with production teams- Prior manufacturing experience in Machining and/or Heat Treatment- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, complemented by the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations- Ability to collect and efficiently organized detailed information- Strong computer and data analysis skills- Understanding of engineering drawings- Strong mechanical aptitude- Design for Experiment understanding- Experience with Gears and Forgings- Dynamic Modeling and Analysis- High personal and professional ethics- Must be a self-starter that requires mínimal supervision, anticipates issues, and takes appropriate action.- The ability to work or lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply****Final details**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
