We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Drivetrain Leveraged Component Division as a Design Liaison Engineer in Monterrey, Mexico.As a Design Liaison Engineer, you will be partnering with Drivetrain design and controls teams to identify solutions to manufacturing issues, prove out new designs, and test prototype components and systems. This position is responsible for supporting Drivetrain hydraulic valves and oil systems.**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:- Analysis of End of Line test data and provide recommendations for problem resolution, working in collaboration with the local Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams and U.S. Drivetrain Design team.- Document and communicate test results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units- Contribute to the design, development, and validation of new Drivetrain Control Valves, hydraulic controls, and on occasions oil pumps.- Support New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) teams- Collaborate with the test engineers on end of the line testing procedure improvement activities- Contribute to matters regarding Concurrent Product and Process Development (CPPD), supplier collaboration and development, and Rapid Root Cause and Corrective Actions**Basic Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum, preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, Applied Mechanics, or Metallurgical Engineering- Must have a prior Engineering experience with hydraulic systems or components.- Willingness to travel up to 10%- English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)- Experience and interest in collaborating with production teams- Strong mechanical aptitude- High personal and professional ethics- Must be a self-starter that requires mínimal supervision, anticipates issues, and takes appropriate action
