Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Design Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, will be responsible for Develop, implement, coordinates, and performs Design Quality Assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing product
What a typical day looks like:
Failure analysis of pre
- production and prototype products.
Work as part of the cross functional engineering team throughout the product development process.
Asist in determing validation requirements for design and manufacturing change requests.
Communicate and resolve validation and prototype issues with customers.
Interfaces with the customer regarding validation planning and results.
Interface with validation labs as required to resolve issues.
Work with Test Systems Engineering to define requirements for test and validation equipment.
Review and analyse customer requirements and specifications to ensure they are reflected in the functional and reliability validation.
Participate in the Engineering Gate Review Process.
Participate in Program Gate Management Reviews
Lead reliability predictions.
Assist with development of functional safety plans and participate in the functional safety audit process.
Participate with Business Development, Program Management and other engineering disciplines in generating quotes for new product opportunities.
Definition of customer quality goals.
Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives.
Work with product design engineers on the prototype build process, create prototype control plans and assist with prototype PFMEAs as required.
Participate in DFMEA development process.
Participate in continuous improvement activites and iniatives.
Responsible for managing customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory/compliance agency audits for products.
Initiates the corrective action process as required and assists with the problem solving process and tools.
(i.e.
6Sigma, and Tier 1 requirements).
Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new product designs,
Supports manufacturing sites regarding existing product quality and helps to resolve issues.
Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Experience as Senior Quality Engineer or superintendent in electronics manufacturing
BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
Experience in SMT Process mandatory (IPC)
Quality tools knowledge (8Ds, 5 Whys, Pareto Chart etc)
Advance English spoken and written (mandatory)
Personal management
Knowledge ISO 9001 and TL900 (certifications is also a plus)
Green Belt is a must, Black Belt is also a plus
