Requirements:
• Expert in Figma: Extensive experience creating complex components, managing styles, and leveraging Figma's auto-layout, prototyping, and variants features.
• Strong Visual Design Sensibility: A deep understanding of typography, spacing, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Knowledge of Design System Concepts: Familiarity with design tokens, component documentation, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.
• Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with designers, developers, and product managers.
Ideal Background and Previous Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, User Experience, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a design systems role, preferably within a tech or product-focused company.
• Experience with front-end development principles and tools (like CSS, HTML, or frameworks like React) is a plus, as this aids in effective collaboration with development teams.
• Portfolio showcasing experience in design systems, component libraries, or product design work.
This person should ideally come from a design systems or product design background with a proven record of creating and maintaining high-quality design assets. Their experience should emphasize Figma proficiency, visual design skills, and familiarity with design systems terminology, so they can seamlessly integrate into and enhance the design system team.
