Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersThe Mechanical Design Drafter (Drafter) will be responsible for MCAD, drafting, PDM, PLM, ECO processing, and documentation control activity to support engineering of Operator Sensing Technology (OST) products within the Heavy-vehicle Off-road (HVOR) business.The Drafter will primarily interface with remote Design Engineers in producing, changing, and maintaining design documentation in the form of CAD models and drawings. The Drafter will effectively and efficiently manage data in a SolidWorks/PDM Pro platform. The Drafter will operate in accordance with corporate, department, and business-specific workflows, standards, practices, and tools. To be successful, the Drafter must be able to- operate fluently in SolidWorks/PDM environments with respect to complex product model and drawing configurations.- accurately and efficiently transform concepts and derivatives into SolidWorks/PDM Pro data sets.- create and maintain CAD drawings, models, and engineering specifications in accordance with industry standards, generally accepted drafting principles, and established best practices.- utilize advanced SolidWorks features, such as surface modeling, start parts/assemblies, smart BOMs, family tables, import/export, skeleton modeling, cabling/routing, mechanisms, shrink-wrap, MCAD/ECAD interfacing, GD&T, DFM (ex. draft check), resolving failed features, sheet metal, relations/parameters, simplified reps, and contextual design (ex. top-down design, parent-child constraints)- work with highly stylized surfaces and ergonomic features for hand-held products
