Your Role
As a Gensler Designer, you will develop design solutions and provide project coordination for all project phases, from concept through construction. As a member of the Lifestyle studio, you will be a part of a team that creates impactful and memorable experiences in the retail, hospitality, restaurant, mixed use, and residential markets.
What You Will Do
- Working with Design Director(s) and project team(s), participate in all project phases, including programming client needs, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, FF&E sourcing and specifications, and construction documents
- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
- Produce graphic presentations, 3D visualizations, and construction drawings
- Develop and exhibit self-direction and curiosity while working in a collaborative environment
- Assist in managing client expectations and team communication
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent
- 5+ years of professional commercial design experience focusing on retail design and delivery
- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office
- 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written, with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate understanding of design theories, furniture, finishes, materials, and color selections
- Strong understanding for the development of FF&E Specifications
- Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
- Strong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Familiar with retail related ADA compliance and building codes
