.Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company.As Sustaining Engineer, you will be supporting the manufacturing of existing platforms along with the introduction of a new minisplit product line in Daikin San Luis Potosi while collaboratively working with global cross-functional teams. Work with dedicated design/drafting teams in MiniSplit design to implement product changes from concept through to production, interfacing with Manufacturing Chain, Product Development, and suppliers. It's through these values that we continuously strive to build a place where everyone can be authentic, feel valued and heard, and have a sense of purpose and belonging.Responsibilities:Develop 3D models and 2D production drawings/layouts by using Creo or Solid Edge.Plan, coordinate, and check Engineering CAD design changes prior to checker/supervisor review.Develop and design new and existing 3D models based upon DFM (Design for Manufacturability).Pay attention to details while creating new CAD designs and working with Bill of Materials.Create bills of material from 3D CAD models using PLM system i.E., Team Center.Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.Manage the resolution of CAD related issues and tasks.Perform revisions, edits, and updates to drawings based on revised sketches, notes, drawings, and verbal instruction.Lead troubleshooting/problem solving on constructability/design issues.Work within cross-functional teams.Qualifications:Proficiency in Creo 2.0 and up (Pro-sheet metal, Pro-piping, and Solid modeling).Proficiency in Solid Edge ST4 and up (sheet metal, Xpress route, and Solid modeling).Able to develop advanced level designs in 3D modeling.Proficient in understanding Bills of Material of functional products.Able to understand, modify, and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.Excellent mechanical design and hands-on background.Able to manage the resolution of CAD related issues and tasks.Good knowledge of product design and engineering change processes.Working experience in PLM systems such as Team Center and/or SAP.5+ years of sheet metal design or equipment design and design for manufacturability
