**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team on a project-based, full-time employment contract for three years.
In this role, you will provide essential technical support to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and user assistance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide basic technical support for desktop computers, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and system updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist users in resolving technical problems and offer guidance on utilizing software and hardware effectively.
- Manage and document support tickets, including resolutions and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to address complex technical issues.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Proficiency in desktop support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a user-focused approach.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and techniques.
**Experience and Education**:
- 612 months of experience in a desktop support or similar IT role.
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+).
**Employment Terms**:
- Project-based, full-time employment contract for three years.
