Development Engineer

As a result, unlike many other OEM or supplier organizations, Garrett Advancing Motion has visibility across a broad range of OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers.**Your responsibilities**- Matching, Design, Simulation, Validation (DVP&R), Turbo Release (TRA)- Accountable for Internal & External APQP on full Bill Of Material - Sign off turbo, component PPAP deviations (APQP output)- Support of customer or product development testing- Accountable for 2D & 3D creation and quality according to documented Design Standards & guidelines- Support Design quality issue investigations (8D's) and lead implementation of corrective actions**Your profile****Minimum Qualifications**- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field- 3+ years of experience with developing and/or launching products in the automotive or similar industry- Proven track record with product testing, validation, and launch experience as well as product or component design in automotive industry- Strong communications skills and sense of urgency- Team player, with focus on growth and customer success.**Desired Qualifications**- Experience in turbomachinery, mechanical design, testing, and manufacturing- Experience with casting, machining, and assembly of hardware- Experience with 3D design tools- Six Sigma GB certification- Eager to learn and acquire new skills and new capabilities.
