.DescriptionWillis Towers Watson is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. You will also be responsible for building out our continuous integration platform across several software products.This role will work closely with both Software Development and IT Operations groups to ensure that the final releases are up to organizational standards and are released successfully without negative impact to our Customers. This position reports to the DevOps Leader.Essential Job Duties:Design, develop, maintain and support high-quality in-house software build systems for Enterprise class softwareDesign, create, and maintain automated pipelines to continuously deliver value to clients.Design, create, and maintain automated pipelines to manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Provide design, implementation guidance and tutoring as necessary to other team members in best practices, tool use, and DevOps principalsDesigning, training and implementing source code control management best practicesWorks independently and within project teams to provide guidance and recommendations to business stakeholders and management for risk remediationCommunicate effectively with members of software development and other project related groups to ensure processes and project objectives are metContribute, review and document ongoing improvements of the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for DevOps best practicesThis position is US working-hours focused, however, it does require some after-hours evening support at least once per week, so a flexible time schedule is required.Core Competencies:Commitment to Mission: Aligns with the Core Values of Collaboration, Integrity, Ethics, and Service through behaviors that demonstrate a positive commitment to the customer and the organizationCommunication: Strong oral and written communication skills and internal/external relationshipsService: Understands that your role is to help others through support, training, asking the right questions, and delivering valuePersonal Planning: Aligns with personal accountability and responsibilityQualificationsRequirements:3+ years of experience as a DevOps/SCM engineer, or in a position with similar skill sets and responsibilities.Strong knowledge of n-tier web applications.Experience with supporting Cloud IaaS and PaaS software implementations. Azure preferred.Experience with supporting Cloud container orchestration services (Kubernetes, Docker). Azure preferred.Proficiency with Build and Release tools. Azure DevOps preferred.Proficiency using a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell with a focus on Cloud (Azure CLI)
