**Title**: Diagnostics Software Engineer
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey
**Function**: Engineering (CA)
**Main Responsibilities**:
- You will be an integral part of a software development team and collaborate with other developers.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Diagnostics infrastructure team.
- Work on a daily basis with different protocols such as CAN and UDS.
- Document new processes and best practices to drive commonality and reuse.
- Create proposals and proof of concepts for the adoption of the most modern diagnostics technologies.

- Identify, analyze, design, build, configure, test, and deploy highly integrated complex solutions.
**What Skills You Need**:
- 2-3 years of experience designing, developing and testing firmware using C.
- Experience on CAN protocol.
- knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience with Agile Methodology.
- Experience with version control as GitHub.
- Effective communication skills in English for highly technical conversations.
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Experience on J1939 and UDS protocols.
- Experience on diagnostics authoring tools such as CANdela.
- Knowledge on system requirements or software architecture.
- Microcontroller systems (e.g., A/D converters, watchdog timers, memory organization, interrupt or trap functions).
- Development and debugging tools (e.g., source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters).
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
**Education**:
- B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems, and Robotics Engineering or similar.
