Role: IT Manager - SAP & Finance Systems (Mgr, Enterprise Business Systems).
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic individual to be part of our global Digital organization, with a passion to drive Digital transformation within the Finance function. This will be a hands-on lead role, owning implementations and operations, partnering with various teams both internal and external. The candidate must have strong technical and leadership experience in implementing and supporting Finance capabilities and business processes using core platforms like SAP, Ariba, Kyriba; leveraging internal and external resources in a large multinational corporation or in other complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Leads teams during project planning, analysis, design, build, test, go live and hyper care phases of project implementation.
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with functional owners and CoE teams. Uses deep technical and process knowledge to drive engagement.
Manages external implementation partners, software vendors and service providers. Participates to develop request for proposals/quote, works to develop project proposals and statements of work.
Demonstrates broad project leadership, impacting significant technical direction; exerts influence outside of immediate team and drives change.
Manages ongoing operations to ensure solutions are performing as expected and meeting or exceeding expectations.
Drives innovation within the Finance function via business systems and process transformation.
Partners with vendors and system providers to assess platform capabilities and find opportunities for cost savings, productivity, process streamlining, simplification and improved user experience (high availability, migration to cloud, real time transparency, etc.).
Supports the overall Carrier Transformation goals, including shared services enablement, global Treasury solutions and process simplification/optimization across the board.
Develops peer, cross-functional relationships to leverage best practices, maximize solution quality, and drive user adoption.
Requirements
Language skills:
Adequate written & spoken English level to handle fluent and assertive conversations across global teams.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in IT - Business Systems roles OR Post graduate Degree with 3+ years of experience in IT - Business Systems roles.
2+ years' experience with SAP S/4 HANA Finance is required.
Travel availability:
20% of the time.
Additional skills & experience:
Proven track record and experience managing and supporting Finance in demanding multi-entity environments with complex systems and projects.
Strong track record of driving results through action-oriented thinking and innovative problem-solving, that align with organizational strategy.
Proven practical experience in implementing ERP systems, particularly SAP, with additional knowledge of other corporate systems like Ariba, TMS, or similar.
Ability to own difficult decisions, ensuring timely actions that align with business's critical priorities.
Solid knowledge of modern software development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, DevOps or similar), combined with the ability to translate them into successful SAP implementation strategies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and internal drive, able to thrive in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information.
Strong relationship builder & influencer with the ability to mediate opposing viewpoints and work well in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and experience working with decision makers in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Ability to drive clear communication and powerful presentations with key business partners, including senior executives.
Preferred:
Experience with other solutions like SAP MDG, Ariba, Concur, and/or Kyriba, etc.
Central Finance experience.
Agile methodologies certification (PMI-ACP, AgilePM, SPS, CSM, PSM, PSPO, etc.).
Country Roll outs, Upgrade, Transformation experience.
