Purpose of Your Work: As Digital Procurement Representative working within Redwood, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
How You Make a Difference Everyday: Build and maintain new and current strategic carrier profiles through research and networking and aligning Redwood truckload sales opportunitiesActively engage carrier partners primarily by phone, targeting 80+ dials per dayConfidently introduce the Redwood Digital Freight Brokerage (DFB) product to carrier prospects, profiling 20 new carriers per dayEngage in continuous follow up to carriers, understanding what network offers work, which lanes are an ideal fit, and reinforcing the value proposition to the carrier partnersBuild understanding of macro-market conditions and how it has an impact on truckload rates and capacityResolve carrier relations and accounting issuesProvide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers (and internal sales team as needed), ensuring maximum profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basisCoordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipmentConsistently provide service and support to motor carriers in an effort to build the business relationshipMaintain a file of all open truck shipments and of records of trailers in assigned areasCommunicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve issuesVerify all freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve all payables discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carrierMonitor Bill of Lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessaryActively seek out Redwood contract lanes, and create a dedicated capacity solutionResearch, contact, and develop new carrier relationships to leverage a portfolio of carrier networks to introduce new capacity to customer sales opportunitiesResolve carrier relations and accounting issuesYou've Got This?
