Direct Purchasing Leader NAObjectiveEstablish and lead contracts and price negotiations for medium and large volume purchases, to contribute to the profitability of the company.Main ResponsibilitiesForge strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and dealers, collaborating closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to align procurement and project needs.Demonstrate a deep understanding of trailer components, leveraging your mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal part selection and functionality. Responsible for sourcing and purchasing components.Total Procurement Savings (P&L, Cash, Cost Avoidance).Compliance to the preferred supply base.Cost reduction - Working Capital, P&L impact / Cash / Cost avoidance.Support forecasting and reporting Savings for the Sites/Region.Position RequirementsBachelor's degree required in business, Engineering, or a related field.5-7 years' experience as Direct Purchasing Leader.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, vital for liaising with internal departments and external partners.Comprehensive understanding of mechanical parts, blocks and heads parts and their applications, enabling informed purchasing decisions.Thrive in a dynamic environment, adept at juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to engage effectively with diverse teams such as Accounting, Engineering, and Project Management.Advanced English required.At Nemak, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (D&I) play a fundamental role in everything we do and are the underlying platform on which our culture is built.
