The Director for Midscale Brand Management & Marketing, CALA is responsible for driving brand growth and preference for Midscale Brands in the Caribbean and Latin America.
This role reports directly into the VP of Brand & Marketing and will work in partnership with Global Brand & Marketing teams across brand management, brand marketing and PR on driving brand awareness and pulling through brand strategy and initiatives within continent.
This includes but is not limited to brand programming, brand education, integrated marketing campaigns, brand partnerships and activations.
This position needs to collaborate closely with Development, Global Design, CLS, openings, L&D, Public Relations, and Franchise teams.
This role acts as a brand advocate in the continent for the Midscale segment.

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Education and Experience
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, hospitality management or related area required.
MBA or similar advanced degree a plus.
- 10 years of relevant professional experience in brand activation, media, international consumer marketing, and/or field operations/marketing, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance
- Proven experience in marketing strategy and execution as well as brand activation, preferably within the lodging industry; experience with PR a plus
- proven Experience in brand management and brand marketing
- Demonstrated ability to balance the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders
- Strong team player and ability to foster relationships and collaborate across disciplines
- Experience managing others and leading large-scale projects
- Hotel property experience, hotel field marketing experience, or related preferred
- Multi-market working experience strongly preferred
- Local market knowledge and experience (Mexico)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Executive presence
- Fluency of English and Spanish required, Portuguese is a plus
