ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Director, Production Finance to join our team!
This role will support our Streaming Service business and is an integral part of the Finance team for managing our original productions.
We are seeking a leader with a variety of soft skills, industry knowledge, and a strong contributor to the business.
This position reports to the Vice President, Streaming Finance - Production.
ABOUT YOU:

YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Preparation of monthly executive-level presentation materials for finance reviews with President of Ad Sales, including analysis and tracking of expense and revenue-related risks & opportunities.
- Works with VP, Production Finance, and team on Streaming business content portfolio
- Establish and execute on a vision to develop a world class production finance team, including its systems implementation, policy, and procedures.
- Be a strategic partner to executive management, content and production leaders, and studio in LATAM.
- Protecting company assets through cash management, policies, and procedures
- Collaborative as a cross functional partner with our legal and content team on third party contracts
- Effectively manage production portfolio cost forecasting and operational cash flow to support the business needs in accordance with financial accounting policy, audit, and transactional support.
- Manage and perform month-end close process, signing-off on trial balance and monthly Management Financial Package including variance explanations.
- Ensure reconciliations between production accounting, Costs Reports and Oracle are accurate.
- Perform production market comparative and trend analysis and present key metrics, benchmark, and dashboards.
- Communicate and manage production budgets, cost reports, trial balances and petty cash reconciliations prepared by third party producers.
Work with show accountants on a day-to-day basis to drive accurate, complete, and timely cost reporting, protecting, and managing show assets and supporting production.
- Implement new technologies that provide the next generation of production finance tools and determine how and when to best incorporate into the production accounting workflow.
- Manage production incentive and VAT workflow to ensure receipt of tax credits or cash.
YOU HAVE:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- +10 years of experience in a production finance (any content type, experience in Fiction, Unscripted, Alternative, and International Features and Series)
- Leadership experience and managing teams motivated by passion to exceed expectations and to continuously improve yourself, the team, and the department.
- Exercise sound judgement and solution focused.
- Broad understanding of Production and Finance experience
- Clear understanding of controllership accounting and entertainment industry best practices
- Ability to understand and articulate issues using creative, production, or financial context.
- Advanced Microsoft Office program (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge in Movie Magic budgeting tool
- Very strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
