If that sounds like a challenge you want to help tackle, we want you to join our team!**Responsibilities**:- Represent TC in federal, state, municipal regulatory and administrative proceedings, including rate proceedings, technical conferences, settlement conferences, the drafting of pleadings and coordinating discovery-- Collaborate and give support in connection with the structuring of open seasons, operational matters (including force majeure) and shipper disputes-- Providing legal support in connection with commercial and operational agreements, including natural gas transportation agreements, credit support agreements and confidentiality agreements-- Providing legal support and guidance on the siting and permitting of new pipelines-- Acting as TC's CRE Compliance Officer and providing legal support and training related to compliance matters, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Standards of Conduct-- Mentoring junior attorneys and support staff providing direction and guidance in team and collaborative settings giving timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge and develop skill areas to accomplish tasks or solve problems-- Supervising external legal counsel-- Innovating, developing and improving department procedures-- Work on business development initiatives related to greenfield extensions, new energy initiatives, expansions of established pipeline systems, structured transactions and asset acquisitions and divestitures.-- Strategic thinking, able to identify key issues and the relevant relationships needed to achieve long range goals or vision.-- Expert in developing priorities with the right balance of short and long-term wins.- Minimum qualifications- Requires a law degree from a recognized accredited post-secondary institution-- Minimum 15 or more years of related experience-- High ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion-- Advanced English.-- Ability to communicate written and verbal in both languages.-- Ability with office package (word, excel, outlook).-- Ability to work under pressure.-- Travel will be required- Preferred qualifications- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; -- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, multiple deadlines or tasks; -- Proven leadership andproject management skillsAbout our businessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
