**Reference**12048**About our client**We are currently working with a major player in the Mexican power industry with more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector. Backed by a leading global infrastructure fund, our client has an exciting new opening for a Director of M&A. You will play a key role from deal sourcing/origination through to successful execution. The position is based in Mexico City.**What the job involves**- Source, originate, negotiate, and close investment opportunities both in Mexico and along the US/Mexico border.- Lead the team responsible for the investment strategy.- Oversee and supervise all financial analyses and models of potential investment opportunities.- Manage the due diligence process and coordinate external collaborators.- Identify areas of transaction risk and potential mitigation strategies.- Support in the structuring and financing of the transactions.- Work with internal and external stakeholders in all issues related to deal closing.**Who we are looking for**- Solid experience in M&A transactions, garnered at a leading investment bank or private equity fund.- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the power generation and infrastructure industries in Mexico.- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, or related field; MBA a plus.- Proactive,organized, and detail oriented.- Superior negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.**Location**Mexico**Sector**Private Equity Real Estate
