preschool / primary and our secondary / sixth form sites.
Must be bilingual
Must be a qualified psychologist with at least 5 years experience working in schools
(2 of those in a position of responsibility)
The position provides dynamic leadership to the Learning Support departments, line
managing the coordinators of Learning Support on both sites and the Coordinator of
Wellbeing in preschool and primary. They also play a key role in supervising and guiding the
pastoral care of students across the school and in coordinating safeguarding policy and
procedure.
The person in this position is responsible for supporting and guiding the efforts of the school
to maintain a diverse and inclusive community in all areas of operation and for actively
seeking out ways to promote inclusion within the community.
Each of these responsibilities begins with fostering a culture of high expectations backed up
by high levels of support, working as a leader within the community, and being committed
to removing barriers to progress.
**Responsibilities**
Academic Preschool - Sixth Form
Line Manager : Learning Support Coordinator Pre-school and Primary; Learning
Support Coordinator Secondary and Sixth Form; Wellbeing Coordinator Pre-school
and Primary
Ensuring academic and personal wellbeing of students from K1-U6. Supervising and
guiding Learning Support Departments in the identification of barriers and the
strategic development of plans to overcome them.
Working with Lead Teachers and Coordinators to ensure that the curriculum is
inclusive.
Ensuring a smooth transition between school areas for students with identified needs
and their families.
Suggesting, identifying, providing and/or supervising professional development
opportunities for all staff, both academic and administrative, in the areas of
inclusion,psychology and diversity.
Supervising, when necessary, the creation of Individual Education Plans and their
regular revision and development.
Liaising with families who require support and guidance, especially those who have
students with identified needs and/or safeguarding concerns.
Providing psychological and emotional support to students from F1-U6, as necessary
**Administrative**
In collaboration with Senior Leadership Team:
Being responsible for the development and implementation of policies and protocols
relating to inclusion and safeguarding,
Contributing to whole-school strategic planning.
Participating in the recruitment of staff to key positions as well as within the areas of
Learning Support and Psychology.
Performing observations of professional practice alongside site leadership teams
and providing feedback for ongoing professional development to teaching and
support staff.
Supervising and coordinating, alongside HR, the administration and analysis of wellbeing
questionnaires (currently via TES Pulse) for all staff and any subsequent action plans.
Identifying the needs of the community and collaborating with the Parents' Associations as
well as respective Direction Teams to provide a comprehensive programme of workshops
for the 'Families Learning Together' project.
**Admissions**
Overseeing admissions processes for all prospective families, coordinating with the
admissions coordinators and community manager.
Collaborating in the planning and implementation of strategies and campaigns for
recruitment and retention of students across the school.
Coordinating and actively participating in all admissions processes including
Saturday admissions activities with families;
Collaborating with respective leadership teams in decision making regarding the
admission of students across the school.
