Position SummaryThe Director of IT oversees the organization's technology-related strategies and initiatives, manages IT infrastructure, ensures cybersecurity, and supports digital transformation efforts. This role demands deep technical expertise across a range of technologies and platforms, with a significant focus on secure system administration, compliance, and data protection in a dynamic environment.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Enhanced Data Protection: Develop and enforce policies that safeguard sensitive data, including customer information and financial records, and enhance system security to prevent data breaches.Risk Management: Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure, prioritize risks based on impact, and implement best practices to reduce risk exposure.Compliance and Legal Requirements: Ensure all IT activities and systems comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and PCI DSS, and adopt frameworks like NIST.Incident Response and Recovery: Manage and improve incident response strategies; coordinate efforts to mitigate damage and recover systems in the event of a cybersecurity attack.Security Awareness and Training: Initiate regular security training and awareness programs for all employees to minimize potential internal security breaches.Vendor and Third-Party Risk Management: Evaluate and monitor third-party services and vendors to ensure their compliance with the organization's cybersecurity standards.Business Continuity and Resilience: Work closely with the business continuity team to ensure that the IT infrastructure is resilient against all types of disruptions or attacks.SAML/SSO Integration and Management: Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities via SAML for streamlined and secure user authentication across multiple systems.Windows Environment and Device Management: Manage and optimize Windows-based environments, including provisioning and imaging of devices using FOG Project or similar technologies.Advanced PowerShell Scripting: Utilize PowerShell to automate tasks, configure system settings, and manage security protocols effectively.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Extensive leadership experience in IT, particularly in directing IT security, infrastructure, and team management.Strong expertise in Google Workspace, including the use of command-line tools such as GAM, and deep familiarity with SAML/SSO for secure authentication.Proficient in managing a Windows environment with hands-on experience in device provisioning and imaging, ideally with FOG Project.Advanced PowerShell scripting skills to support automation and configuration.Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management practices, and compliance with data protection laws and standards.Experience in developing and leading IT disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.Ability to lead and manage third-party IT service providers and vendor relationships effectively.Excellent strategic planning, team leadership, and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
