To Apply for this Job Click HereDirector of Operations & Continuous Improvement for our Nogales, Sonora, Mexico facility. This role, located just 15 minutes from the U.S. border, will oversee daily operations and lead the continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing sites in Phoenix, Arizona, and Nogales. Travel between both facilities is required. As the Director of Operations & Continuous Improvement, you will drive operational efficiencies, streamline product flow, and enhance warehouse and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, using Lean tools and methodologies, particularly in Value Stream Transformation and Kaizen event execution.
Key Responsibilities: Establish and promote a culture of accountability, focusing on achieving high performance and results.Ensure world-class on-time delivery and product quality for customers.Support the creation, implementation, and evaluation of cost reduction strategies that drive business results.Monitor and meet or exceed key performance indicators such as revenue, gross margin, Defective Parts per Million (DPPM), and On-Time Delivery (OTD).Play an active role in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring successful implementation of new manufacturing processes.Utilize data and Lean methodologies to identify performance gaps, collaborating with department leaders to develop and execute improvement plans.Lead impactful process improvements using Lean tools, Kaizen events, and structured problem-solving approaches to drive safety, quality, efficiency, cost reductions, and employee morale.Lead Kaizen events through hands-on participation and provide coaching and training to teams on continuous improvement concepts.Manage the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of manufacturing employees, with a focus on leadership development.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.Perform additional duties as needed.Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, preferably in Engineering (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).At least five years of experience in industrial management.Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.Proven experience in evaluating and improving manufacturing processes from a strategic, big-picture perspective.
Hands-on experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams to drive operational excellence.
Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee operations in both the U.S. and Mexico.
Prior experience in running operations within a mid-sized company, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and growth.
Will require working in Nogales Mexico 3 weeks out of the month and 1 week in Phoenix AZ. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
