**PURPOSE**To manage the operations of the offices of IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean.
**RESPONSIBILITIES****Office Operations**- Plans, formulates, and recommends policies and programs to meet the goals, objectives, and strategies in LAC for the approval of the VP of IAAPA LAC and the IAAPA LAC Advisory Board.- Develops policies and procedures for the day-to-day administration of IAAPA's LAC offices operations.- Supports the organization of the IAAPA Summit and other IAAPA LAC events.- Develops budget for IAAPA LAC office operations and manages finances together with IAAPA LAC VP.- Implements goals, objectives, and strategies in LAC- Directs all IAAPA member services, marketing, communication, recruitment, and retention initiatives in the region.- Oversees the management of the CRM and other databases in the region.- Represent the association at industry-related meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and social events in the region.- Manages the activities of the LAC office in accordance with IAAPA standards and policies.- Supports the goals and mission of IAAPA as set forth in the strategic and business plans.
**Member relations**- Build relationships of trust with members.- Form good working relationships with all national associations and trade bodies throughout the LAC region.
**External relations**- Coordinate written materials such as government relations bulletins, policy papers, press releases related to GR, presentations for the members on government relations, etc.- Link external regulatory developments to the amusement park industry helping members to understand the impact on their business and operations.- Represent the industry in relevant industry groups and forums.This position will be directly tied to results.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING**- University degree or equivalent.- 10-15 years of relevant professional experience in membership, events, and operations.- Excellent written and spoken English, Portuguese is a plus.- Knowledge / Experience of LAC policies and structure.- Experience in leading teams of up to 10 people.
**KEY SKILLS**- Self-starter with the required motivation and work ethics to work autonomously with mínimal supervision.- Entrepreneurial spirit to further develop association and its products.- Able to work flexibly as part of a small Mexico based team and be prepared to travel extensively throughout the Latin America, Caribbean region.- Confident and skilled communicator, who is able to simplify complex concepts or regulatory issues for a non-expert audience.- Demonstrable knowledge of and interest in the amusement park and attractions industry.- Ability to work with press and speaking on front of large audiences.- Availability to travel 10 -20% domestic or internationally.
