**Essential responsibilities**:
Establishes action plans for the team that is your responsibility, assigning strategic functions to facilitate the workflow. Supervises and evaluates procedures designed to upgrade production methods, equipment utilization and the quality of the finished goods. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations to his direct staff and recommends relevant development/succession/training plans fostering the growth of his department.Plans investigations to determine the effectiveness of manpower utilization and projects labor and staffing needs. Leads R&D meetings in relation to NPI, transfers, expansions, development of product engineering concepts, projects, manufacturing, among others. Reviews engineering designs for customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in quality and value through awareness, objectives, goals, communication, and target setting with security, quality, services, and cost. Formulates, negotiates, and manages the Department's objectives and budgets as well as the strategies and action plans to achieve those objectives. Strives to ensure accuracy of forward-looking information through effective planning and awareness of future events. Drives team members to continuously improve key operational metrics and achieve organizational goals. Validates and authorizes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the production functions. Responsible for selecting, training, motivating and developing the production acting as a facilitator. Aligned and effectively collaborate with corporate offices. Directs its staff to ensure the correct launch of BOM's, routings, test equipment, PM's Set up, packaging, drawings, pilot tests, control plans, among others. Establishes metrics and monitors project progress. Provides timely feedback to your Staff ensuring compliance with established objectives. Directs continuous improvement projects in conjunction with OpEx (Operational Excellence). Interact with corporate functional areas (R&D, Marketing, Quality, Distribution, Customer Care) ensuring that internal / external customers receive answers in a timely manner. Establishes operating procedures and standards (SOP's) for all engineering functions. Responsible for keeping updated job descriptions updated according to the approved procedure.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Industrial engineering, Mechanical, Electromechanical or Electronic Engineering. Master in senior management, managerial administration (desirable).
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience as Manager or Director of Engineering in high volume assembly industry (desirable medical industry) with extensive administrative knowledge in manufacturing processes.
- Advanced English (Fluency that allows project presentations, participation in negotiation processes).
- Knowledge in Administration and budget control, Lean Manufacturing Tools, Six Sigma, Project Management, Supply Chain, Reengineering, MTM.
