As the IPMI Product Strategy & Design Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping our insurance offerings and driving product development initiatives across international markets,especially Latin America, Canada, and US. Leveraging your expertise in private health insurance and innovative design, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and supporting the implementation of cutting-edge insurance products that align with customer demands and market trends. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market insights, and championing customer-centric product design. This role will enable BD to create and deliver products that have our customers at heart, meet our regulatory obligations, drive profitable commercial growth of its portfolio, and help Best Doctors to position itself as the innovation leader in the industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Supports the definition of the overall product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the international private health insurance portfolio. Identify and assess market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to drive product innovation. Develop and support the execution of a comprehensive product launch plan, ensuring timely and successful delivery of new insurance products. Lead the design process for new insurance products, incorporating customer feedback and usability studies to create compelling user experiences. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including actuaries, underwriters, product implementation, operations, and marketing teams, to ensure product offerings are well-structured and meet regulatory requirements. Integrate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the design and functionality of insurance products. Work with Actuaries and Finance to forecast financial impact (Including network, systems, and operating model) and business case Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and opportunities for product differentiation. Analyze customer feedback, sales data, and market performance to identify improvement areas and develop product optimization strategies. Define and execute an optimization strategy for the portfolio, harmonizing, retiring, and rationalizing specific products to remove complexity and risk. Speaks the language and liaises with actuaries to create a clear and well-articulated product and service portfolio across a broad price spectrum, maximizing our consumer and customer needs coverage. Own the revenue and customer targets for the portfolio and rigorously measure and manage its profitability. Outline corrective actions needed at a portfolio level to achieve commercial targets. Analysis and reporting of product performance, continuously identifying areas for improvement, reviewing product trends, and taking actions to address opportunities and customer pain points. With the Sales team, define and execute benefit-led customer migration strategies, to optimize CLV and drive positive commercial adoption of new propositions and products. Be the commercial leader for the product portfolio throughout the business, working with technology and commercial teams to drive customer uptake and satisfaction. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovation and empowers team members to achieve their full potential. Drive alignment and collaboration with international sister companies and partners. Leads post-implementation reviews and monitors product KPIs. Commercially manages the performance of Best Doctors product portfolio. Comfortably and eloquently presents opportunities to senior leadership and partners while influencing adoption. Comfortable speaking with brokers and agents to discuss opportunities. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to stay current with changing regulations and maintain the highest standards of product integrity. REQUIREMENTS: Educated to degree level, and/or recognized commercial and business-related qualification or equivalent Educated to degree level, and/or recognized business qualification or equivalent. Business experience, which should include managing a multi-country insurance product portfolio. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing international insurance products. Strong knowledge of health insurance market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry best practices. Demonstrated success in delivering innovative new products. Experience of conducting portfolio rationalization exercises on a regional scale. Experience of operating in a regulated market, specific experience in healthcare, or access will be highly advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a challenging and persuasive manner, to win and maintain the respect of colleagues across the business at all levels. Clear communication and presentation skills. Solid analytical and numerical skills. Fluent English & Spanish Understanding and knowledge of IPMI products are preferred.
