Job OverviewThe Director, Operations will play a critical role within the extended senior leadership team, leading global operations strategy and execution with a primary focus on the Hermosillo Plant. The role encompasses end-to-end responsibility for key operational metrics, including product quality, delivery performance, lead time, cost management, inventory investment, and capital expenditures, driving sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead operations across Hermosillo Plant and global supply chain, with oversight of plant management and operations teams.Develop and execute short-term wins aligned with long-term business goals to enhance TE's operational capabilities and competitive position.Drive KPI achievement across safety, product quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and inventory management.Spearhead major projects, including product launches, capital initiatives, manufacturing ramp-ups, automation projects, and footprint migration.Collaborate with leadership to revamp the 5-year operational strategy, optimizing the global footprint, insourcing/outsourcing decisions, and strategic automation investments.Partner with cross-functional teams to develop talent strategies—focusing on talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership development within the supply chain.Key Success Metrics:Gain deep knowledge of the business strategy and operational contribution to its success.Collaborate with the Sub-Vertical Director to refine the 5-year operations plan, focusing on footprint optimization, automation, and capability building.Build a robust KPI monitoring framework to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity across manufacturing sites.Ensure the on-time, on-budget execution of high-impact projects, from product launches to major capital initiatives.Implement comprehensive talent development plans aligned with long-term succession planning goals.What your background should look like:The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in electronic or electrical product manufacturing and a proven track record of driving operational performance in high-demand environments. They will possess the following qualities:Minimum 5 years managing multi-plant operations, ideally in Low Volume – High Mix environments with fast cycles. Experience managing North American manufacturing footprints, including interaction with local work councils in the US and Mexico; exposure to Europe and Asia is a plus.Proven ability to conduct due diligence and integrate acquired operations seamlessly.Adept at navigating highly matrixed organizations, influencing stakeholders, and driving accountability.Demonstrated ability to implement lean methodologies and transformative improvements across the value stream
