RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head, LATAM PAGA serves as the regional leader for policy, advocacy, and government affairs for the CSL Behring Business Unit in the Latin America region, with a near-term focus on Puerto Rico and Mexico. The role will lead the development and execution of government and other stakeholder engagement plans in key regional geographies to advance the priorities of the CSL Behring Business Unit, with a focus on supporting the current plasma operations network and future expansion efforts, and enabling the success of the CSL Behring commercial portfolio.
The person in this role will be responsible for the following:
Develop and lead execution of plan to drive public affairs initiatives that enable the success of CSL Behring's plasma operations and patient access to our therapies.
Leads and coordinates CSL Behring company engagement with regional government officials, industry associations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders.
Leads the communication of business-relevant policy updates to senior company leaders, in alignment with relevant affiliate functions and the Head, International PAGA.
Works with International Policy, International Advocacy leads to support affiliate-level public affairs engagement.
Serves as company representative and relationship manager with regional patient advocacy groups,
Provides PAGA insights and counsel to Cluster Head, CSLB Commercial Operations LATAM and Partner Business Head
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate/professional degree in law, public health, political sciences or similar disciplines preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare policy/public affairs or comparable fields
Experience designing and leading efforts to build company profile and impact with important healthcare public affairs stakeholders in the LATAM region at the regional and national levels (Puerto Rico and Mexico preferred).
Experience collaborating with colleagues at multiple levels of the organization to align on and execute shared goals.
Strong understanding of the workings of major government/public authorities and healthcare industry associations in the LATAM region (Puerto Rico and Mexico preferred).
Experience partnering with patient groups to advance shared goals.
Network of relationships with government officials, industry, patient advocacy, and other stakeholders that are influential in policy formulation in the LATAM region (Puerto Rico and Mexico preferred).
Experience in biologics, plasma, or vaccine products industries preferred.
