**Summary of This Role**:
Manages the execution of projects in accordance with organization's project management methodology. Develops, prioritizes and submits project plans, budgets and methodologies across a range of key projects. Defines project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations. Takes ownership of the successful implementation of a set of projects. Manages the work of project managers. Advises on the most complex or critical projects; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; identifies and resolves operational problems and minimizes delays. Evaluates and authorizes changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
**What Part Will You Play?**:
- Oversees a team of project management professionals that lead and direct planning, execution, controlling, reporting and communication of complex and unique projects across an array of functional activities. Directs activities to ensure successful project delivery to clients (internal and external) and project portfolio is within the annual budgeted plan. Sets department priorities, communicates progress and ensures ongoing alignment to the organization's strategic objectives.
- Manages, monitors and evaluates the execution of projects with a span of influence that typically require working within multiple business segments and/or across corporate shared service resources. Ensures project completion within agreed timelines, scope, effort, and quality. Monitor and report project risks that can lead to missed service levels to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Solves complex problems, that deviate from established procedures, in coordination with other department heads.
- Designs, implements, and conducts analysis of project reporting used by senior management in regard to project timeliness, resource capacity, client demand, and resource utilization. Reporting includes project resource allocation, financials/budget, risks, variances, etc. for multiple and varying initiatives / projects.
- Accountable for the development and achievement of annual budgets. Ensures staffing and project assignments align with existing and new business projections. Plans, owns and controls the annual project revenue forecast, including quarterly re-forecasting and ensuring accurate billing. Define methods to track financial and effectiveness measurements and monitor utilization to achieve revenue plans.
- Keeps senior stakeholders informed of project status by providing regular updates ranging from monthly development or project stack status, status of large internal initiatives, productivity and utilization rate reporting, timeliness to delivery key performance indicators, and quarterly metrics that measure effectiveness. Develops communication practices to ensure the communication from project management staff to their respective clients is accurate, timely and effective.
- Leads, develops and maintains mutually supportive relationships with clients, colleagues and third parties. Oversees the support of multiple client relationships from a project perspective and ensures constructive communication is delivered through reporting and / or meetings. Leverages senior relationships in resolving critical issues. Participates in internal / external forums / meetings to enhance services, build relationships and improve processes. Span of influence that typically require collaborating and working across the enterprise and client / partner organizations.
- Accountable for the overall project management support of multiple clients (internal and external). Develops an understanding and educates teams on clients' business models, goals and strategies. Creates and leads efforts to provide solutions and direction to achieve desired results. Monitors and evaluates progress and outcomes against client expectations. Ensures the client's needs are appropriately represented.
- Serves as a central point of escalation for non-routine project management issues related to process and project delivery to ensure satisfactory outcomes. Conducts conflict management with all levels internal and / or external stakeholders to include negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving for projects having the potential for varied and complex scope change(s).
- Drives continuous process improvement related to a wide range of business services, methodology and project processes to reduce cost, improve quality and service levels for the clients (internal and external). Partners with other project management leaders to ensure standards and priorities are aligned for project portfolio management. Defines scope of process change, trains on and resolves issues related to process improvement.
- Directs and oversees the governance framework and reporting for project delivery and business needs. Ensures activities are compliant with governance. Serves as authority on project management leading practices within t
