Overview:
STATEMENT:
The Director of Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for the coordination of global operations for their department function across GTS and for the management of cross-functional processes. This role will bring together the technology, people, and processes necessary to support the delivery of streamlined, technology enabled business services.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Responsible for global Windows Server, Linux Server, and Storage platforms.
- Responsible for Server Operations globally, both on-prem and in cloud providers.
- Ensures department alignment to GTS priorities and strategy.
- Track and report on departmental metrics and compliance status.
- Ensure vulnerabilities are remediated and operational activities are completed within defined SLA.
- Partners with other leaders in GTS to understand process improvement needs and translate these into actions and/or projects.
- Identifies areas where department Processes can be improved and influences business and GTS leadership by defining the benefits and managing the improvements.
- Works closely with other GTS functions to build cohesive teams and promote efficient operations.
- Escalates and follows through on issues identified by teams.
- Creates an environment that enhances collaboration, ensuring positive and productive working relationships are developed and maintained across the service ecosystem.
- Participates in and contributes to strategic planning.
- Establishes strong relationships with peers and stakeholders.

- Excellent communication skills for both executive and technical audiences.
- Able to simplify technical details for executive audiences.
- Strong technical understand of servers, storage, and virtulization.
- Experience automating workflows with modern IaC tools.
- Demonstrable track record in managing infrastructure in a complex international organization of relevant scale and complexity.
- Comfortable driving successful delivery through a large geographically disparate team comprised of employees and contractors.

**Experience**:
- 15+ years of experience in Infrastructure with 7+ years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years leading large global teams.
- 8+ years of experience in server and storage management.
- 8+ years of experience managing Windows Server and Linux Server operating systems.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- 5+ years of experience with HPE servers and HPE storage hardware.
- 5+ years of experience with Dell servers and EMC storage hardware.
- 3+ years of experience with Public Cloud providers (Azure, OCI, and GCP)
**Education**:
- Bachelor's in Information Technology or equivalent

- MBA or other advanced degree
