Position Purpose Responsible for the entire process from taking and editing of digital photography, to visualize, design and output to promotional print media such as store circulars, POP materials, and in-store signage to support store sales. Assist the Design Manager and execute creative concepts and designs of promotional materials while maintaining brand consistency across all designs and messages to promote AutoZone's key attributes and services. Proofread all materials to ensure they are letter-perfect and mistake-free. Manage the production and distribution process delivery in a timely manner from printing to stores. Responsible for managing the reverse auction process to ensure the best printing value, meet budget guidelines, and source new partners.
Primary Accountabilities Create, design, and produce promotional printed media advertising materials such as store circulars, POP materials, in-store signage, identity designs, and brochures while working cross-functionally with design, creative, and merchandising teams to ensure optimal design solutions for our customers. Supervise and execute the production and delivery process from the print shop (third party) to stores for all campaigns including QA testing, printer schedules, delivery schedules, and negotiate to meet budget guidelines while maintaining vendor relations. Monitor store incidents to ensure that each has the necessary materials on time. Design proposals for initiatives or projects from various internal and external areas, including inaugurations, exhibitions, events, and BTL activities. Responsible for the circular delivery process via third party, including purchase orders, closing invoices, and delivery tracking within budgetary and scheduled guidelines. Liaise with the creative and design team to take and edit digital photography to advertise products and AutoZone's services. Education & Experience Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or similar.
Years of Experience: Three to five years.
Type of Experience: Retail advertising experience preferred.
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: Able to generate new & unique design concepts within branding boundaries. Ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritize multiple projects & tight deadlines. Must be flexible enough to adapt to changes and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Strong portfolio that demonstrates a sharp eye for design. Able to work effectively as part of a team. Proven advanced experience with Adobe Web Creative Suite design tools (Required: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Resolved conflicts and provided solutions in a professional manner to the satisfaction of clients. Other/Preferred: Superior communication, interpersonal, creative, and organizational skills. English proficiency. Advanced knowledge of prepress/printing and digital photography.
