This individual will be responsible for working closely with the Transportation Leadership and other Dispatchers to ensure execution of daily Transportation operations.
This individual will also be responsible for other duties to include daily GES run assignments, Customer Service, and Inbounding/Outbounding trips.
**The schedule for this role is Sunday - Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am and on Wednesdays from 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
**
**Resposibilities**:
- Interface daily with the warehouse team, OTR drivers, Fleet team, and Sales team to ensure we have on-time deliveries to our customers.
- Provide input to the Leadership Team on managing Traffic Center cost to include empty miles reduction, equipment & driver utilization, and networking efficiencies.
- Post and communicate OTR board run assignments to OTR drivers.
- Coordinate the delivery of loads tendered Local Carriers on an as needed basis.
- Maintain the Dispatch Tracker (Dispatch timeliness, On-time delivery, Return timeliness, Tractors that need PM service, changes made to runs, etc.)
- Participate in Traffic Run Right Venues as needed
- Adjust delivery sequences in the Dispatch Planning System as necessary.
- Make value-added decisions to ensure World Class Service to Sales.
- Resolve dispatch issues driven by order changes, ship date delays or driver availability.
- Performing other administrative duties as assigned.
**Compensation and Benefits**:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $37,000 - $66,400 based on a full-time schedule.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
**Qualifications**:
- High School Diploma or Associate education
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn current DOT Hours of Service regulations
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Dispatcher experience preferred
- Must be able to work overtime and occasionally cover non-bid days
