.As a critical individual contributor position in the AMER Regional Team, you'll be responsible for providing account leadership to enable distribution bookings revenue, crafting inventory strategy, optimizing cost to serve and providing differentiated partner and customer experience.The Distribution Planner is accountable for driving collaborative planning processes to deliver distribution bookings, revenue attainment, customer experience, market share, financials (including cost to serve), distribution bookings forecast accuracy, and other fulfillment supply chain business outcomes by handling these major elements: Plan and achieve distributor bookings and revenue goalsOptimal Inventory sizing and execution based on forecasts, service level targets and POSEnsure product availability and differentiated service level performance; to distributors and from distributors to their resellers and customersDrive consensus bookings forecast with the distributors/sales/finance and bring the quantitative/qualitative insights back to IBP teams to help improve the signal accuracyOptimize cost to serve and drive cost reduction initiativesSense future business needsIncrease promotions effectivityOperations product lifecycleYou will do this through driving the end-to-end process between Distribution and Cisco's Supply Chain from customer sell-thru forecasting to distribution sell-in requirements and inventory management to manufacturing order management.
**Who You'll Work With**This role requires significant collaboration with Distributors and many cross-functional stakeholders within Operations, Finance and Sales.
**Who You Are**3-5 years experience in supply chain, financial and statistical analysis skills to assess, frame, and drive data-driven decisions.
Skilled at recognizing underlying themes, trends, and patterns (quarter over quarter, year or year) to explain current performance in the context of the macro business situation and use this insight to predict and prescribe future financial, operational, and delivery service level outcomes.Able to balance multiple functional inputs including distributor forecasts, point of sale information, inventory buffer requirements, product life cycle information from marketing, and statistical forecasts to agree on monthly distributor forecastUnderstand the dynamics between supply and demand balancing and be able to help distributors optimize inventory levels and improve fill rateHighly effective at leading conversations that influence and drive optimized decisions with distributors and internal stakeholders.
