Scope of leadership rolePosition Summary: Develops and administers health programs at assigned location(s). Treats employee illnesses and injuries during working hours. Provides medical treatment to employees at the workplace, home or hospital and re-examines disability cases periodically to confirm progress. Supervises maintenance of case histories, health examination reports and other medical records. Inspects plants/offices and makes recommendations for sanitation improvements and elimination of health hazards. Directs activities of dispensary or infirmary. Conducts pre-employment and fitness for duty exams.Key ResponsibilitiesDetermine the health conditions of employees through medical examinations, according to legal requirements.Manage medicines, material and equipment of the medical department.Attend and investigate accidents and occupational diseases to determine their causes and implement preventive or corrective measures. Follow up to conclusion on accident claims and other special cases and report out accordingly.Implement preventive medicine programs in order to educate and modify poor health and hygiene habits, promoting self-care of the person.Actively participate in the promotion of the maintenance of adequate environmental and safety conditions, proposing measures that must be adopted according to the rules of current law.Prepare reports and statistics that are required by law and / or company.Prepare annually the program of activities of the Medical Service, as stipulated by current regulations.Participate in health promotion and care through activities and talks that enhance the culture of care and prevention among our employees.Coordinate and/or be a part of associates' organizations such as Health & Safety Committee, Ergonomics Committee, and other teams where the Medic participation helps guide and engage the team members to be successful in achieving their goals.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONSRelevant knowledge of health, safety and hygiene at work.Performance Skills (competencies): Teamwork, goal oriented, service vocation.Good verbal and written communication.Good Negotiator.Staff supervision skillsMS Office suite Power User (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).Required Education / Experience / Skills:Medical Doctor degree.+ 5 years of relevant experience.Medical License (Occupational Medicine certification preferred).Lean Six Sigma knowledge (desirable).Travel: Yes or No.Language: English written and spoken 60-70% (Preferred).#J-18808-Ljbffr
