As a DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) Layout Designer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for translating schematics into layouts used for creating fabrication templates.
You will need to meet all engineering and process-related criteria for assigned DRAM products.
Your tasks will include organizing and prioritizing logistics and resource allocation to meet scheduled deadlines, as well as proactively developing methodologies for issue resolution.
In this role, you will collaborate with Design and other engineering teams to apply multiple layout techniques for designing and verifying digital and analog circuits.
You will be expected to understand various circuit design protocols, different fab processes, mask generation techniques, and tapeout processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Design and Verify All Levels of Analog and Digital Layout : Utilize computer-aided design software (e.g., Cadence, Calibre, Virtuoso) Collaborate with Design Engineers to Floorplan and Design Layout Understand and Follow Verification Protocols Apply Custom and/or Automated Layout Techniques to Design Pitch, Array, and Peripheral Layout for Digital and Analog Circuits Understand How to Solve Layout Effects (ANT, LUP, ESD, etc.)
Develop and Maintain Technical Knowledge: Interface with Design Engineering to Understand Layout Methodology Possess Basic Understanding of Circuit Design Understand Tape Out Processes and Procedures Apply Fab Process Knowledge, Including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) Manage and Participate in Project-Based Environment: Organize, Prioritize, and Manage Logistics and Resource Allocations Prioritize Tasks to Attain Schedules and Deadlines Proactively Develop Methodologies to Resolve Issues Guide Layout Designers to Encourage Professional and Technical Development Required Experiences and Qualifications: +4 years of experience in Cadence VLE/VXL and Calibre DRC/LVS is a must.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering or similar.
Some electrical engineering background is necessary, which most programs provide.
