Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence.As a Product Engineer, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers responsible for enabling Micron's products with flawless and issue-free release to manufacturing.The general responsibilities of the position are the following:Improve Probe testing coverage, quality, and on DRAM productsOwn the probe test flow, review, and sign off probe test program release to ensure quality controlUtilize state-of-art in-house engineering equipment to support product characterization and electrical failure analysisDevelop creative testing algorithms to improve testing efficiencyDutiesDRAM Probe/ Back End TestingResponsible for improving DRAM probe testing, including quality and coverageOwns the probe test flow, reviews, and signs off probe test program releases to ensure quality controlUses state-of-the-art in-house engineering equipment for product characterization and electrical failure analysisDevelops creative testing algorithms to enhance testing efficiencyNew Generation Product DevelopmentResponsible for new product startup and yield improvementSupports design verification and in-depth circuit analysis of new products using CAD tools and Verilog simulationsWorks with the wafer fab process/integration group to address process-related defects affecting product yieldIdentifies design marginalities and recommends design fixes for circuit-related problemsFunctional and Design ValidationDesigns novel test algorithms and develops test programs for validating DRAM features and commandsUses high-speed tester hardware to perform validation of new NAND devicesAnalyzes failures generated from evaluationsAutomates program development and work processes using scriptingProduct Yield EnhancementIdentifies causes of low yield through systematic analysisWorks closely with various engineering groups in resolving process/defects-related issuesPerforms electrical/physical failure analysis to understand the failure mechanism relating to defects/fab processUtilizes statistical tools for detailed data analysis on products to drive yield improvement projectsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelops high-quality and cost-efficient DRAM test strategiesUnderstands DRAM defect mechanisms and DRAM system error recovery featuresCollaborates with test engineering teams to define and secure necessary test fixtures for memory and system testingConducts electrical failure analysis of DRAM products through different phases of product life cyclingUses data parsing and data analysis to improve yields, test times, and product qualityEstimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per yearThis role does not involve finalization of sales agreements or execution of sales contracts.
