What you will be doing The holder of this position must perform independently the following tasks
Load and/or unload Company vehicles with the packages scheduled for pickups and/or deliveries. Verify the integrity and conditions of goods transported during collections and deliveries. Always lock the vehicle's doors and never leave vehicle unattended with shipments inside of it. Only proper and safe public parking is allowed. Check with their supervisor about the best possible route available up to their destination in order to perform a deliver and/or pickup in a timely manner. . Report all events to the World Courier office: picking or delivery status or in case of any delay or discrepancies as they arise and wait for instructions. Ensure all documentation/paperwork (HWB, MAWB, invoice, etc.) and labeling is correct and fully completed according to Company's policies and procedures and good documentary practices. Keep the HWB original copy and return it to World Courier office. ( Act as the communication link between customers and the office staff. The comments and suggestions of the customers must be immediately communicated to the Driver Dispatcher. Fulfill all the specific instructions ( stop de temperature monitor). Maintain an excellent cooperation with other team members. . Be kind with all customers, always use an appropriate language and look presentable, wear clean clothes/uniform and in good conditions, at all times. Always follow traffic regulations and work safety standards. Maintain the assigned vehicle in top conditions by following the maintenance program (including the annual technical revision) and cleaning it inside and outside. . Fulfill the tasks assigned by the administrative and accounting area (under coordination to Driver Dispatcher) and provide the respective evidence to the office of World Courier according to his daily activities. Perform the packaging materials check and cleaning processes. Pick up the shipments at the airport or at shipper address depending on the nature of the imports & exports transaction. Ensure shipments are marked, numbered and labeled and that packaging and refrigerant levels are undertaken according to standard operating procedures prior to lodgment at the airlines. Keep properly updates in customs operation procedures such as custom's systems transmittal and tariff code classification. Perform the customs release (if necessary). Build relationships with domestic airlines, broker & airport staff to ensure efficient information flow and smooth delivery of shipments. (). Perform any assigned tasks and other duties the employee has been trained for and according to their supervisor's requirements correctly and in a timely manner.
What your background should look like Requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record. High School Degree. Basic level of English.
