The **DX Platforms Engineer** designs, sets up and maintains complex environments for the delivery of world-class Digital Experience solutions developed by Base22, employing flag DX platforms such as Liferay DXP, HCL DX and Oracle Cloud Content and Experience, on traditional or cloud-based infrastructure.*Responsibilities*- Set up and configure new instances, and maintain existing instances of Base22 flag DX platform products, such as Liferay DXP, HCL DX and Oracle Cloud Content and Experience.- Design, estimate and plan the platform and infrastructure streams for new and existing enterprise web projects.- Support the business development team by preparing fully-functional environments of flag products and platforms that will be used during marketing events and demonstrations for new and existing clients.This is a hands-on Senior engineering role, not an executive position.The DX Platforms Engineer has a career path towards the roles of Systems Architect or Solution Architect.*Qualifications*- Knowledge and experience on the following technical areas:- The Jakarta EE (formerly Java EE) specifications, and experience setting up and configuring servlet container environments such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and Apache Tomcat for development, testing and production purposes.- The TLS protocol, how it works and how to leverage best cryptography practices on web server software such as Apache HTTP Server and Nginx.- Linux Containers, using and configuring the Docker Engine and the Kubernetes orchestration system for testing and development purposes, as well as for production purposes.- The AWS, Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Azure cloud computing platforms, for setting up, configuring and maintaining complex DX solution deployments.- Experience supporting teams with tools and best practices for a software continuous delivery approach.- Experience supporting solutions on web content management platforms with thousands of content items and media assets.- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.- Experience working with remote teams.- Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills.- Fluid in both, English and Spanish.**Education and Experience**- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.- 7 Years of experience in the areas of software engineering, DevOps, platform implementation or cloud-based solution implementation.- Certifications on cloud-computing platforms such as AWS, Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Azure, as well as certifications from other platform vendors such as Oracle, RedHat, Liferay, HCL and IBM are a plus.
