We will support the business in advising digital platforms, in particular e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces, understanding how the law is developing to regulate them, and have the versatility to advise across a broad range of commercial workstreams. You will support a diverse range of initiatives across cross-functional and multi-jurisdictional teams to support the TikTok e-commerce teams.ResponsibilitiesAs part of the global legal e-commerce team, you will primarily support our Mexico and Latin America e-commerce businesses. In doing so you will:Provide advice and guidance on a wide range of operational, commercial and product counselling e-commerce matters, with a focus on consumer protection, consumer product regulation, advertising, marketing and intellectual property.Support the business in understanding and complying with legal and regulatory requirements when launching new products, features and initiatives in Mexico.Contribute to the continuous improvement of TikTok e-commerce initiatives through review of the consumer disclosures, product policies, terms and conditions applicable to our users/customers/partners and support for feature development.Review, draft, negotiate and manage commercial agreements relevant to digital and e-commerce platforms.Contribute to template development, process improvement and internal training, identifying and resolving opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce contractual friction.Partner closely with local and international stakeholders in legal, privacy, and public policy, to deliver projects against short timeframes, setting appropriate priorities and managing legal risk.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsA Juris Doctorate from a Mexican law school; and a Master of Laws (LLM).Strong background in e-commerce, retail, marketplace and technology industry.Solid experience in drafting and negotiation of agreements across the retail, creative, advertising, and technology industries
