Job DescriptionThe ECU Process Engineering Leader is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the Process and Maintenance Engineering team in support of ECU production and Industrialization.
This critical role demands expertise in launching new machines for automatic and semiautomatic assembly/testing of Electronic Control Units for Automotive Safety Applications, as well as overseeing the creation and optimization of specific purpose-designed hardware, software, and programs essential for the effective launch of new products and continuous improvements of production processes, assuring profitability and competitiveness.
Provide strategic leadership to the Process and Maintenance Engineering group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.Oversee the launch of new equipment in the FF ECU, guaranteeing optimal performance and integration.Direct the development and optimization of specialized hardware, software, and programs crucial for new product launches, focusing on meeting stringent quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.Ensure strict adherence to process specifications across all engineering activities.Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to meet and exceed customer expectations.Continuously analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-plant teams to address technical challenges and drive innovation in ECU production.Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain the organization's competitive edge in ECU manufacturing.Prepare and present comprehensive reports on process performance, project status, and strategic initiatives to senior management.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in:Automotive industry, including ECU production and line launching.Process, Manufacturing & Maintenance Engineering.Leading engineering teams (6+ engineers) in production-related areas.Expertise in Automotive Quality Standards and Six Sigma methodologies.Proven track record in leading teams troubleshooting automatic and semiautomatic ECU production lines with cycle times Strong knowledge of Electronics Control Units Manufacturing and Industrialization preferred.Company DescriptionContinental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.
