**Job Description Summary**: Due to the local rotational nature of the Program (2 Years), the Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) will consist on three or four assignments in Mechanical Rotating Equipment (Gas and Steam) related areas for heavy duty turbomachinery.
The local rotation assignments are intended to increase expertise competencies on the engineering field leading to successful off Program placement. Program membership also requires continuous education through advanced studies, in-house courses and workshops
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of areas' schedules, budget, quality and cost constraints while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.
Propose new analyses, techniques and methodologies with respect to specific area of responsibility where applicable,
Document and present the innovation and project key learnings, assumptions, findings and conclusion to different audiences including management and technical leadership teams.
Contribute to team and business goals and accomplishments.
Demonstrate analytical / problem solving through number orientation.
**Required Qualifications**- Bachelor/Master's degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics or Physics may apply)
- Demonstrated scholastic achievements
- Demonstrated leadership accomplishments besides academics.
- Maximum of 2 years after graduated.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Situational adaptable.
- Been resilient
- Self-aware and self-starter
- English level advanced
- Communication Skills.
- Strong mechanical design knowledge (machine design) on one or various of the following fields:
- Rotor Design
- Bearing Design
- Aeromechanics
- Shell/Casing Design
- Combustion Design
- Able to explain physics phenomena in a clear and simple manner
- Basic knowledge on Power Plants
- Knowledge on thermodynamics
- Understanding of tribology & contact mechanics
- Knowledge on ANSYS Software (FEA, LCF, HCF analysis)
- Knowledge on Damage Tolerance Analysis
- Understanding Manufacturing process
- Basic knowledge of metal materials
- Understanding Welding, Bolting and Tooling rotor/casing features
