POSITION OBJECTIVE

Coordinate operational management of environmental, health, and safety programs, as well as, coordinating and delivering training and recommending specific environmental, health and safety related programs and activities, while following corporate and government regulations and guidelines.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures regulatory compliance with all aspects of Safety and Environmental for the site.
Ensure the company safety policies and written programs are current, up to date and properly implemented. Update policies and programs to new legislation as required.
Maintains accident and OSHA log databases. Prepares statistical presentations for meeting presentation and postings.
Interface closely with Health Care Professionals to develop wellness and prevention programs.
Coordinate the EHS team activities to provide support for all productive and support areas of the plant.
Report performance trends to management and corporate on regular basis. - Manage incident investigation and collaborates on the emergency preparedness program.
Participates in the implementation of a Management system based on ISO45000.
Provide training and mentoring to EHS team.
Participate site inspections to evaluate compliance with EHS regulations.
Ensures implementation of the Safety strategy and the execution of plan for the organization.
Attend internal and external visits, inspections and audits related to EHS.
Promote improvement actions by improvement IDEAS program and makes sure their team participates
Collaborates with site teams as it pertains to Management of Change program requirements. This includes team review and approval of all new and modified equipment.
Collaborate on recordable injuries investigations and coordinate the development and implementation of robust corrective and preventive actions to ensure zero repetition.
Actively guide and participate in all efforts to promote safety awareness and increase proficiency in safe work practices in facilities.
Support and positively affect the work environment by providing employee safety recognition programs.

**Education**:

- Bachelor degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical Engineering

**Experience**:

- Min. 5 years experience in Environmental, Health and Safety Management

**Language**:

- Fluent in Spanish written and verbal.
- English written and verbal (Min: 80%).
- Knowledge of French or German is an advantage
