What you will do? Implements the environmental, health and safety strategy in the plant following the JCMS System while ensuring compliance with all the applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. Leads the waste management process and special projects to improve EHS performance. Drives the risk management process for the plant and implement measures designed to minimize the risks to people and the environment. Takes a leading role in the different plant teams and committees impacting EHS performance with subjects such as waste management, ergonomics, emergency preparedness, environmental issues, training, managements systems, among others. Provides support as needed to the shop floor.How you will do it?Maintain compliance of the JCMS, ISO 14001, 45001, FM Global and others.Establish and maintain actions to improve the material management in site using the ergonomic standard.Ensure training and execution of Management of Change Process in the current and new projects in the future.Participate in the training program of the plant attending trainings as scheduled and, when required, acting as internal instructor.What are we looking for?Education: Environmental & Safety engineering or similar degree.Experience: 3-5 years of experience as EHS Technician or similar position.Language: English intermediateKnowledge: Risk management, Mexican laws and regulations (Federal, State and Local) in Environmental & Occupational, Health and Safety matters, waste management and reduction techniques, job safety analysis, problem solving and incident investigation methods, environmental management systems, occupational health, and safety management systems, MS Office.Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), teamwork, self-management, leadership thinking skills (problem solving and decision making), proactivity, planning and organizing.
