Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an EHS&S Engineer located in Tijuana.Reporting to the ,Manager, EH&S the EHS&S Engineer, Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulationsWhat a typical day looks like:- The primary function of the position is to help create a culture that identifies, eliminates, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques long with Behavior based safety program- Direct and organize EHS-related projects for the site to include:- Oversee for Environmental Health, Safety and sustainability reporting and compliance.- "Champion" the Safety Committee and act as a resource to sub committees.- Responsible for leading cross-functional safety teams and work groups as required.- Assist in the day-to-day activities and communications regarding Safety.- Provide support to manufacturing staff and focus on safety awareness, prevention, and training.- Assist site management in implementing health and safety programs and procedures.- Training: Develop, maintain, and disseminate a variety of safety information and training topics.- Coordinate training program for EHS&S related trainings.Here are a few of our preferred experiences:- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Sustainability, EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.- Previous experience in EH&S, renewable energy, water conservation and sustainability activities within a manufacturing environment preferred.- Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety guidelines, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.- English able to establish communication at different levels.Here is some of what you'll need (required):- Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.- Examines plans and specifications for sustainability events, community events and green projects- Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
