Work ScheduleStandard Office Hours (40/wk)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionThis position is responsible for ensuring that the entire operation of the site complies with company policies and laws required to operate in Mexico regarding operation's legal permits, facilities, safety, and hygiene, and ensuring the smooth running of an office on a day-to-day basis.Responsibilities:Primary responsible for Safety and Health compliance with Mexico Laws.Responsible for ensuring the best conditions and quality of the Facilities.Ensure the smooth running of an office on a day-to-day basis.Act as the main point of contact with the Legal authorities (PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SSA & APPLICABLE).Collaborate closely with local authorities and service providers concerning the IT CoE.Support the onboarding of EHS & Facilities for new employees.Support the social responsibility program.Work closely with the DE/HR Business Partner, Site Leader, and related stakeholders to ensure site project achievements are timely.Contribute to maintaining a good work environment, facilitating continuous improvement, and supporting engagement, diversity, and inclusion.Manage, organize, direct, and coordinate the full range of EHS and Facilities Operations/Services/Administration programs that significantly impact the Thermo Fisher employee experience for the Tijuana site.In charge of the prevention of all types of occupational, safety, health, and environmental risks: Technical standards (STPS procedures), Sanitary measures (ISESALUD), Corporate procedures, and Staff training.Administration of EHS programs and develop Business Continuity Plans; lead business continuity/disaster planning activities.Assure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Corporate requirements relative to health, safety, and environmental programs.How will you get here:EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Law, or related studies.English Level: Reading, conversation, able to make presentations in both languages – English and Spanish.Project Management and Leadership Skills.Looking for a very dynamic and discrete professional.Must have a valid Visa to travel between the U.S. and Mexico.Knowledge of Mexican Regulations (NOMS – STPS) and previous experience with a similar level of responsibilities and management level.+ 3 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety programs.Project Management Experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
